The Social Action Committee
This committee meets on the first Sunday of each month after coffee hour – approximately 12:30 – 1:00 pm.
We gather to share ideas about local concerns, on which we can take action. Our first action will be this week (March 5-10, 2012) and will be visiting Publix Supermarkets to ask the managers to support the Fair Food Code of Conduct, so that Florida agricultural workers can be paid a fair wage. The committee meetings are open to anyone interested in participating in this or future actions. Please join us on April 1 for our next meeting.
